Composer
James Lorusso studied composition, as well as
counterpoint, harmony, and arranging, with Irwin Stahl, at
the Music Conservatory of Westchester. He was among a select
group of students in a special seminar that spanned the
course of several years and covered many aspects of music as
well as the above-stated disciplines.
Years later, he furthered his studies in arranging and
composition with another renowned composer, Ruth Schonthal.
